What I Wore: Toronto Fashion Week

So lets get to the good stuff, shall we? WHAT. I. WORE.

First, I’d like to apologize for my hiatus that has been over a couple of months.  I have been travelling and extremely busy with mom duties to keep up with all my outlets, but I maintained my presence on Youtube and of course Instagram.

If you’re subscribed to my channel on youtube, or if you’ve simply been viewing my videos from the bottom bar of this page, you’ll know I had a fabulous time at Toronto Fashion Week, this past September.  As usual, I won’t blabber too much and I’ll simply get into exactly what you want to see: what I wore! I attended the last night of TOM, and all nights of Toronto Women’s, which completely blew my mind.  I love being a part of this unreal fashion community filled with so much talent and vibrancy.

On night one, my key piece was a magnificent velvet kimono from Canadian Designer Hilary Macmillan.  As soon as I saw this fabric, I knew I had to have it! She offered to lend it to me for the night, but I had to own it as it’s a piece I wanted for my collection.  Just look at the colours and textures! I wore a Forever21 gold moroccan style choker which really complimented this look.  A simple pair of Rag and Bone cropped flares with the most amazing blue velvet lace up Prada boots of the season, and voila, a star look is born! I topped this outfit off with a Blue Zanzibar Hermes Birkin 30, which, as vibrant as it is in colour, it did not take away from the star piece kimono, and only complimented it brilliantly.

Night Two:

My favourite look of the week.

I got the opportunity to wear a really special Moschino blazer, so I jumped on it! Its a very unique piece and I thought Fashion Week was the perfect event for it.  Covered in a gold key collar, it sounds loud and tacky, but as you can see, it is sophisticated and stylish.  I wore a nude BCBG tank top with Citizen’s of Humanity, Rocket Jeans, the most amazing Silver Gucci platform sandals, and a nude Bottega Veneta knot clutch.  The absolute star of this show is none other than the blush pink tulle skirt/tutu from The Store On Queen, that just brought this look together in a high fashion, high street vibe that will remain one of my favourite looks of all time!

Night 3:

I absolutely loved this look! All black everything, can’t lose! Super simple, but this outfit still was thought out thoroughly.  It has sophistication but it also has edge.  I wrote a wool cape from Holt Renfrew house label, and I found a fabric black belt that belongs to a long jacket, and I tied it around my neck to make a bow which complimented the cape so beautifully.  I wore L’agence black satin wide leg pants, classic Prada pointy toes, a Chanel clutch and an Aldo accessories wide stretchy bangle which is such a statement piece, everyone always asks me where on earth I found such a score. Of course they’re always shocked to learn it’s from Aldo, but I love a good high-low mix, so you can always expect to find me in everything across the board.

      Night 4:

My last look was very indicative of my mood. Classy casual.  I wore a sheer Forever21 blouse with high waisted Replay jeans that i’ve literally had since early highschool.  I cut them off at the knee and made a high waisted shorts number out of them.  Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.  Red hand-made beaded drop earrings, Chanel flower brooch, Chanel envelope clutch and Brian Atwood strappy black patent sandals on the feet.  So happy with how this casual look turned out and it was the perfect way to close out an amazing week of fashion and fun!

I hope you enjoyed this mini look book! Check back with me next week for some more fall fashion from my recent shoots!
