Toronto Women’s Fashion Week 2017

Toronto Women’s Fashion Week really served up some amazing Fashion.   To start off I had come over and do a “Get Ready With Me” story.  We had the most wonderful time shooting and chatting about what it really takes to get ready for Fashion Week.  That story will be up on later this week and i’ll be sure to post about it here as well!

I had the pleasure of attending 3 brilliant shows on the final closing gala of TWFW.

The first, Peggy Sue Collection which was all kinds of amazing. This designer prides her collections with North American fiber, milling and manufacturing- all local and ethical.  It was a high-fashion, meets hippie experience listening to The Beatles “Come Together” while the models confidently marched down the runway in denim patchwork, sophisticated pant suits and natural untouched fabrics.

Next was Hendrix Roe. A Designer who very accurately captures Rock & Roll with Hollywood Glamour in her collections. Metallic leathers, thick long fringe tassels for days, long Kimono draped jackets and a show production simply out of this world!

Last but absolutely not least was the beautiful, moving, romantic and dramatic show that was MIKAEL D.  His name deserves to be in caps! What an unbelievable high fashion experience. Breathtaking gowns, elegant fringe, sheer body hugging silhouettes of perfection. The classical yet dark music accompanying this show’s production really made the collection that much more moving. It was absolute magnificence from beginning to end. Literally, I’m at a loss for words.
